What are the benefits of coming to UNC Charlotte?

The University of North Carolina at Charlotte has been ranked as one of the top regional universities in the nation.  As the fastest growing school in the North Carolina system, UNC Charlotte has more than 21,000 students enrolled in its undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs.  The university has established strong links with the professional community and plays a large role in the development of Charlotte.  It has one of the most active international programs in the country.  UNC Charlotte is also gaining national and international recognition for the research and scholarship of its faculty.


What does Charlotte offer?

Charlotte is one of the ten fastest growing cities and the second largest banking center in the country, ranking only behind New York City.  Over 400 foreign owned businesses are located in the Charlotte area.  The city has all of the advantages of a rapidly growing metropolitan area, yet the people are warm and friendly and many areas still retain their small town flavor.  In addition, Charlotte is known for its beautiful tree-lined streets, numerous parks, golf courses and lakes.  As you can see in the map below, Charlotte is located just 365 km from Atlanta, GA and 534 km from Washington, D.C.
