The Office of Intercultural
Outreach Programs, part of the Office of International Programs at UNC
Charlotte, was established in 1991 to advance the international mission of the
university by reaching out to international, city, state, national and
university communities. We utilize the expertise and abundant resources of
the university and the surrounding Charlotte community allowing our participants
to achieve peak performance in the international arena.
What are Intercultural Outreach
Programs?
Intercultural Outreach Programs
are specialized short term training programs designed to meet the needs of
university students or professional groups such as executives, teachers, bankers, and international
business people. All programs emphasize education
through experience and can be enhanced with conversational or business language
training, site visits, internships, home stays and cultural activities.

Who attends Intercultural
Outreach Programs?
Since 1981, groups of
professionals and students from Korea, Japan, Russia, Ukraine, Taiwan, Nepal,
Indonesia and the United States have participated in various Outreach programs.
